The Open Table Cooking School is a baking & cooking school created in Nairobi, Kenya. Recognizing that there is an unmet demand for cooking classes that meet a wide range of needs, we offer highly adaptable menus for all kinds of people. If you want to learn to make something, we’ll teach you how. If you know someone else who’d like to learn to make something, we’ll teach them too.

Our guiding principles are these:

1. Teach anyone and everyone, from primary school students to nannies & housekeepers to eager home chefs.

2. Use quality ingredients, reliable techniques, and easy-to-read recipes.

3. Work in home kitchens, making every recipe easy to recreate without fancy appliances or specialized tools.

4. Make and share food that nourishes our bodies, souls, and communities.

5. Eat together.

If you want to improve your skills in the kitchen, meet other aspiring chefs, or just have a good time with friends that ends in a great meal, check out the classes that we have available.       Hi Carol,

      Take a look at the FAQs page for lots of answers. Each group class is 2300/- and lasts from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. There is no limit to how many classes you can attend: as long as students are interested in learning, we’ll keep teaching!
